SUBSTANCES IS A PLATFORM FOR EMERGING ELECTRONIC MUSIC PRODUCERS
SUBSTANCES combines a curated sample pack, an open creative contest, and a growing ecosystem around experimentation and release.
There's no better chance to test your skills and get feedback on your work from producers, journalists, promoters, and veteran musicians.
Your work will be listened to by a jury of music professionals. It's a chance to have your work heard in context, receive real feedback, and become part of a growing network.
SOME INFORMATION TO MAKE YOUR SUBSTANCES EASIER
1. OPEN CALL
The contest is open to everyone willing. No genre limits and no experience required.
2. CREATE YOUR TRACK
Compose a track lasting between 3-5 minutes. The SUBSTANCES II sample pack must be used, though additional sounds, synths, and effects are welcome.
3. YOU OWN YOUR MUSIC
By submitting, you allow Fosfor to share it as part of the contest and its communication, but your music remains yours.
4. SUBMISSION
Send your track to label.fosfor@gmail.com by April 19. Please include: Your full name and stage name, track title, sounds used from the sample pack, phone number, and social media links (Facebook, Instagram, SoundCloud). Tell us a little bit about yourself.
5. FILE SETUP
Preferred format: WAV. We recommend to mix your track at -8 to -1 LUFS for optimal sound quality and leave at least a -1 dB True Peak margin to prevent distortion during SoundCloud conversion.
6. EVALUATION
All submissions will be evaluated by our hand-selected jury as well as by listeners.
7. SELECTION
Selected tracks will be featured on Fosfor SoundCloud. The strongest-supported artists will get the chance to perform live at the final showcase and have their tracks included in the contest's official album.
