EBM:
Historic Sound,
Made by You

We believe it is essential to create an environment where people can grow, learn, and develop within it. As part of SUBSTANCES II, we continue working towards exactly that - a space where culture is not only understood, but also experienced.

Together with our friends at Romuva Cinema, we invite you to the only screening in Lithuania of the documentary film “Electronic Body Movie” = the first feature-length film dedicated to the pioneers of EBM (Electronic Body Music), their aesthetics, and their lasting influence on today's sound culture.

Following the screening, the program will continue in practice - exploring the foundations of classic EBM and diving into the world of analog synthesizers and drum machines together with our guide KabaharT.

FOSFOR X
LIZDAS SOUND INSTITUTE:
SUBSTANCES II SHOWCASE

The second year of our SUBSTANCES competition is near the finish line. Individual explorations have taken their final shape, the jury and listeners have cast their votes, and now it's time to bring the creators of the highest-rated works into the spotlight.

We're proud to announce this year's winners: Dom/m, Elizi, and Cheechas, whose tracks will be published on the final album.

Sadly, Elizi will not be able to perform live, so we feel it is only right that runner-up 11TOM steps in to take her place.

All that remains is the final showcase at Lizdas Sound Institute, where our crew Jeuxusse, KabaharT & Phase Line, together with the minds behind the sample pack Ement and Onegin, will bring forth a new generation of creators onto the stage. This is more than just an event - it is their manifesto, a space where sound becomes its own story.

FOSFOR x ELASTICA:
GREEN GLOW BELOW

ON THE LAST FRIDAY OF APRIL, THE DARK HALLS OF VILNIUS' ELASTICA WILL GLOW GREEN.

We're not entering the space as guests, but as a catalyst - something begins to bend as familiar names step out of their expected outlines and sound stops behaving in predictable ways.

At the heart of the night is KabaharT's album debut in Vilnius - sharp yet sensitive, unfolding in real time. Vladas Dieninis is set to bend time through a live percussive ritual, raw and physical, while Intakx returns for a rare appearance from the edges of the scene.

Alongside them, our dear friend Valdagger leads a vinyl-driven direction, joined by Phase Line, Belliger, and SixStix, keeping the energy (un)stable throughout the night.

The space will be shaped visually by Lukas Kiškis, becoming part of the system rather than just its setting.

Sounds good? Not sure what to think?

Whether you make dance music or are just curious about playing live, this session is all about getting your hands dirty and seeing what happens. In the span of two hours, you’ll dive into core modular principles, then jump straight into patching, experimenting, and finding out what actually works in real time.

FOSFOR SHOWCASE & A FIRST GLIMPSE AHEAD

With our creative contest brewing on the horizon, we couldn't wait any longer — so on January 17, we got together at Lizdas Sound Institute to give a glimpse of what's coming. We used the night to test ideas and explore the edges and in-betweens of EBM & electro, turning the space into a playground for sound.

Joining our residents in their sonic trials was last year's SUBSTANCES prizewinner and jury favorite, Terminal, appearing under the name Integra. He served some of the tastiest breaks out there, smoothly blending digital selections with vinyl. The event also marked the launch of our very own KabaharT's new album, making it both a listening session and a (not so) small celebration.

The space itself was shaped by Postvisible, a collective of young artists we're happy to collaborate with. Their scenography was built specifically for the night, merging sound and installations into one — no templates, just a response to the space, sound, and moment.

From slow, viscous grooves to fast, uplifting jams, the evening was all about experimenting, listening, and seeing where sound can take you — and, of course, having fun while doing it.

A quaint start before the real noise begins.
